NEW YORK, June 6 - Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Patrick Harker said on Friday that May hiring data released earlier in the day looked good to him.
The May jobs data “was a solid report and I was pleased with it,” Harker said in an interview with CNBC. He reiterated that now is a time for the Fed to hold steady on interest rates and see how the data comes in before changing rates. Harker retires at the end of the month.
