AMELIA ISLAND, Florida, May 20 (Reuters) - The best thing for the Federal Reserve to do now is to wait before making any further policy decisions given the uncertainty around the impact of Trump administration policies, Cleveland Federal Reserve President Beth Hammack and San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly said on Tuesday night.
In a joint appearance at an Atlanta Fed conference, the two reserve bank presidents reaffirmed that with trade policy still up in the air, it was difficult to gauge where the economy is heading, and therefore hard to know how monetary policy should react.
