On the U.S. economic front, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is forecast to have edged up 0.3% in April after falling 0.1% the month before. Annually, inflation will likely remain unchanged at 2.4% in April. Meanwhile, core CPI is estimated to have inched up 0.3% last month, compared to a 0.1% increase in March. On a yearly basis, core CPI is expected to remain at 2.8% in April, the same as the month before.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York issues first-quarter Household Debt and Credit Report, an updated snapshot of trends in household borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards, and auto loans. (1100/1500)
