BERLIN, April 10 (Reuters) - The global economy will be burdened by "aggressive" U.S. tariff policies, a leading economist contributing to a closely followed forecast for the German economy said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference, Klaus Weyerstrass of the Vienna-based research institute IHS cited uncertainty created by an unpredictable U.S. trade policy as a major negative factor.
A group of economic institutes including the IHS on Thursday cut their 2025 growth forecast for Germany to 0.1% from the 0.8% expected in September.
