BERLIN, March 13 (Reuters) - Germany's Greens party will not support proposals for sweeping debt reforms by election winner Friedrich Merz and current talks do not give grounds for optimism on a compromise, senior party official Katharina Droege told reporters on Thursday.
She was speaking as parliament was due to start debating the measures that Merz sees as crucial to reviving growth in Europe's largest economy and revamping the military after years of underinvestment.
