US commerce chief says India's high tariffs call for rethinking of ties

NEW DELHI, March 7 (Reuters) - India's high tariffs require a rethinking of its "special relationship" with the United States and should be brought down, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told India Today television on Friday.
The United States is interested in a large and broad-based trade deal with India, Lutnick added.
