Feb 27 (Reuters) - Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Patrick Harker on Thursday said that tariffs or a trade war could be inflationary, as could a decline in the labor force, but with so much dependent on the actual details of policies under the Trump administration, the central bank should keep rates where they are for now.
Barring any big change in the inflation trend in upcoming data, Harker said, "I think sitting here for a little bit and letting some of this uncertainty resolve itself is the appropriate thing."
