STRONG ZLOTY
The trend of the strengthening of the Polish currency raises questions about the resilience of export-oriented companies. On the other hand, for the central bank focused on fighting inflation, it is proof of the effectiveness of its "hawkish" message, Parkiet reported, citing opinions of economists.
MORTGAGE LOANS
Mortgage loans are still very expensive in Poland, but over 200,000 people decided to take them out in 2024, and the value of the loans amounted to 85 billion zlotys ($21.53 billion), Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing the AMRON-SARFIN report.
DEBT
On Wednesday at 1030 the Polish Ministry of Finance will hold an auction to sell bonds worth 6.0-9.0 billion zlotys ($1.52-2.28 billion).
BUDIMEX
In 2024, the net profit of Budimex BDXP.WA, one of the largest Polish construction companies, fell to 616 million zlotys ($156.00 million) from 738 million zlotys ($186.89 million) a year earlier. The group's revenue fell to 9.12 billion zlotys ($2.31 billion) from 9.8 billion zlotys ($2.48 billion) in 2023.
