PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL
On Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet the President of the European Council, António Costa, to discuss further support for Ukraine, including in the context of potential peace talks.
PRESIDENT OF LATVIA
Polish President Andrzej Duda will meet Latvian President Edgars Rinkevičs on Tuesday.
AIR RAID ON UKRAINE
Polish and allied aircraft were activated early on Tuesday to ensure the safety of Polish airspace after Russia launched air strikes targeting western Ukraine, the Operational Command of the Polish armed forces said.
DATA
Statistics office will publish Polish unemployment data for January at 0900. Analysts estimate that unemployment rate rose to 5.4% from 5.1% in December 2024.
CHINESE CARS IN POLAND
In 2024, sales of Chinese-brand passenger cars in Poland increased almost 70 times, and their market share amounted to 4.7%, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing data from the Polish Automotive Industry Association.
