Fed's Kugler on assessing inflation impact of tariffs: 'we have to wait'

Feb 20 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler on Thursday said tariffs could put upward pressure on prices, but how much is not certain, given the policies themselves are not yet clear, nor the degree to which higher import prices will be passed on to consumers.

"We're looking at those potential scenarios -- they could potentially ... bring up prices, but by how much is less known," Kugler said in response to a question from a Georgetown University student. "I think we have to wait"
