Feb 7 (Reuters) - U.S. power grid operator ISO New England said it briefly curtailed power exports to other regions on Friday morning due to higher than forecast demand.
The curtailments lasted about an hour, beginning at 7 a.m. EST and were stopped around 8 a.m.
"Demand was higher than forecasted heading into the morning peak, so imports were balanced to ensure we were meeting our reserve requirements," the grid operator for the six New England states told Reuters.
"ISO-NE is no longer curtailing external transactions and system status remains normal," it added.
