DATA
On Monday at 0800 Global will publish the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for Poland in January. Analysts forecast that it rose to 48.7 points from 48.2 points in December 2024.
DEBT
On Monday at 1030 the Polish Ministry of Finance will hold an auction for the sale of 42-week Treasury bills worth 1.0-3.0 billion zlotys ($242.43 million-$727.29 million).
EU SUMMIT
On Monday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet with, among others, the President of the European Council António Costa, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during an informal summit of European Union leaders.
Political leaders will discuss opportunities and priorities for deepening defence cooperation in the EU and defence financing, with the aim of increasing Europe's responsibility for its own security, the Polish government's press office said.
INVESTMENTS
During a speech scheduled for February 10, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will present an investment plan that will set the direction for the Polish economy in the coming years, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing politicians from the ruling coalition.
TVN
Investors have submitted at least three offers to buy Polish television station TVN, which is being sold by the American firm Warner Bros. Discovery.
Among them is a fund owned by Polish billionaire Michal Solow, the Wirtualna Polska group WPPL.WA listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Italian group Media for Europe, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing sources.
