Fed's Powell says he has not had contact with Trump

Jan 29 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Wednesday said he has had no contact so far with President Donald Trump, and declined to comment on Trump's remark last week that he would demand lower interest rates from the central bank.
"I’m not going to have any response or comment whatsoever on what the president said,” Powell said at a press conference following the Fed's decision to leave interest rates unchanged. "I’ve had no contact".
