OTTAWA, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday said U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's talk of possibly annexing Canada was a tactic designed to distract people from the impact of his proposed tariffs.
Trudeau told CNN that if Trump did go ahead with a promise to impose a 25% on all imports from Canada, "everything the American consumers buy from Canada is suddenly going to get a lot more expensive".
