BUCHAREST, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Romania's finance ministry aims to sell domestic treasury bonds and bills worth around 5.77 billion lei ($1.21 billion) in January, including 570 million lei at non-competitive tenders, it said on Monday.
The ministry has scheduled nine bond tenders with residual maturities ranging from 1 to 13.1 years and two auctions for one-year and six-month treasury bills.
Romania has sold roughly 108.4 billion lei worth of domestic debt this year and 348.3 million euros ($363.31 million) of domestic euro-denominated paper. It has tapped foreign markets six times, borrowing a record high $6.1 billion and 10.2 billion euros, as well as 33 billion yen ($209.52 million) worth of green Samurai bonds.
