Jan 2 (Reuters) - Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms RIOT.O said on Friday it has appointed insider Jason Chung as its chief financial officer, effective March 1.
Chung will succeed Colin Yee, who has held the role since 2022. Yee will transition to a senior adviser position after March 1.
Chung is currently Riot's executive vice president, head of corporate development and strategy. He has helped spearhead the company's capital markets strategy, investor relations and M&A initiatives, it said.
In this expanded role, Chung will oversee Riot's finance organization, while continuing to run corporate development and investor relations.
