Kevin Dundon eliminated from Dancing with the Stars after weeks of backlash
Kevin Dundon has become the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, narrowly missing out on a spot in the semi-final.
Speaking about his time on the show, Kevin said: 'I feel great. I've had the time of my life. It's been an absolute pleasure getting to know this lady - she has the patience of a saint our Rebecca!'
Meanwhile his professional partner Rebecca gushed: 'He's so kind, so generous and a ray of sunshine!'
It comes after Kevin faced weeks of backlash from viewers at home, who even rang in to Joe Duffy's Liveline to complain that Kevin should've been eliminated far sooner.
This criticism has been fuelled by viewers' anger that 'better' dancers have left DWTS far sooner than Kevin.
However, Kevin's fellow DWTS co-stars have maintained that they're proud of how far Kevin has come in the competition, and that he deserved his spot in the semi-final.
TikTok star Kayleigh Trappe even went as far as to say he was the 'father' of the group- how sweet!
But now, Kevin and Rebecca's time is up after losing out on a coveted place in the semi-final to Aishah Akorede and her pro partner Robert Rowinski in the dance off.
We'll miss him on the dance floor, that's for sure!
