Oscars 2025: 10 stars who nailed the brief for the most glamorous night of the year

At long last, The Oscars 2025 brings us to the end of award season with the biggest night of them all at the Dolby Theatre in LA.

It looked like Demi Moore was going to pick up the Best Actress gong for her role in The Substance, but that accolade went to Anora star Mikey Madison, and the film also won Best Picture.

There were a few other surprises at the Oscars 2025, but the awards ceremony always throws a few curveballs no one sees coming when it comes to winners. What didn't let us down was the style, the hair and beauty looks we will be talking about for days. Here are our favourite glamour looks that won the red carpet.

Oscars 2025 - Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez wore Ralph Lauren on the Oscars 2025 red carpet with an incredible diamond necklace. MUA Hung Vanngo prepped her skin with SK11 skincare before giving her an old Hollywood makeup look. Her side-parted bouncy bob completed the look.

Demi Moore

Poor old Demi Moore missed out on the Oscar for her savage role in The Substance but it didn't stop her nailing the red carpet. Wearing a form-fitting Giorgio Armani Privé gown, her hair was lightly curled and her makeup fresh and pretty. As we've seen for most awards nights this season, a peach lipstick dominated.

Ariana Grande

Wicked took home the gongs for Best Costume and Production Design but stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo went home empty-handed. Ariana wowed on the red carpet in a sculptural Schiaparelli with understated diamonds, a true fashion moment with her slicked-back hair and signature makeup look.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus rocked bleached-blonde brows at the Oscars 2025 with her sheer McQueen gown and gloves (see below), a daring move for the most famous red carpet in the world. Going big on hair volume, the Flowers singer always does things a little differently with her beauty and style, being quirky is her modus operandi.

Halle Berry

Wearing a mirrored gown by Christian Siriano, Halle Berry proved that the flipped-out bob is here to stay for spring. Going nude rather than peach on the lips, Halle's skin was a masterclass in how to prep for a red carpet, from her flawless face to her gilded decollete and arms, she looked like a goddess at the Oscars 2025.

Singer Raye is becoming a regular on the red carpet. For the Oscars 2025 she stuck to her British roots by wearing Vivienne Westwood, a flaming red gown with a ruby and diamond necklace. Her signature bob looked full and polished, and her cat-eye flicked liner was perfection.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone is still rocking that pixie crop she has from filming her latest movie role. It suits her too, and for the Oscars it was styled with finger waves. Wearing Louis Vuitton (as per, she's an ambassador for the brand), Emma wore a pink-peach lipstick which looked more lively than a lot of the other red carpet looks.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana was all smiles at the Oscars 2025 as she picked up the Best Supporting Actress gong for Emilia Pérez, an expected win for the actress. Her puffball Saint Laurent gown might have been a little marmite for the big night, but her emerald and diamond lion choker was a standout jewellery moment and her beauty look was picture-perfect.

Mikey Madison

Best Actress winner for Anora, Mikey Madison let her lashes do the talking for her Oscars 2025 red carpet appearance. Her Christian Dior gown and Tiffany diamonds were fitting for such a prestigious night in the movie world.

Elle Fanning

Elle Fanning chose to wear her hair in an updo, a traditional awards night look when the gowns typically are what everyone is watching. Wearing a white embellished Givenchy gown with a black ribbon at the waist, and an almost regal looking diamond necklace, her heavy cat-eye liner was our favourite eye look on the big night.
