WATCH: Married I'm A Celeb star Danny Jones 'shares drunken kiss' with Maura Higgins

A few people might be grilled this morning over a damning video doing the rounds on social media from the BRIT awards on Saturday night.

The video in question shows McFly star Danny Jones (who is married) sharing a 'drunken peck' with his former I'm A Celeb campmate and newly single Maura Higgins.

The 34-year-old and 38-year-old appeared very close in the viral videos circulating online from the evening, including shots of them cuddled up at a table with their fellow I'm A Celeb co-star Oti Mabuse.

In footage shared with MailOnline, Maura is even resting her head on Danny's shoulder at one point during the after party- not a good look for Danny who has been married to wife Georgia since 2014 and with whom he shares six-year-old son, Cooper. 

A source added of the night: 'Danny appeared to be giving Maura advice and at one point he put his arm around her shoulder.'

The video, which was reportedly taken just before 3 am shows Danny and Maura standing close to each other in the venue's foyer and chatting before he appears to kiss her quickly. 

The pair were then seen leaving the venue as part of a larger group including Danny's McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher, however, Maura then headed home alone in a taxi. 

An onlooker told The Sun of the interaction: 'Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss. Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle. They were talking and laughing for ages.'

Horrified fans took to X to share their disapproval at the incident, with one user writing: 'Maura Higgins isn't the reason Danny Jones cheated, he is. I agree she shouldn't have if she knew he was married but it's his job to stay loyal and faithful to his wife, nobody else's.'

Another shocked fan confessed: 'My jaw has never been so on the floor after seeing that video of Maura Higgins and Danny Jones.'

Another wrote: 'No wait. I read the headline about Danny Jones kissing Maura Higgins and I was like nahhh maybe I’m thinking of another Danny, because doesn’t Danny have a wife and kids….WOW. So shameful.'

Fans' outrage at Danny's behaviour comes as no surprise as he was voted King of the Jungle by the public in the 2024 series of I'm A Celebrity.

Many viewers praised the singer for showcasing his emotional side during the three weeks he spent in the Australian camp where he got candid about missing his family and not having a relationship with his father.

And, last month, Georgia revealed just how difficult it was for her to solo parent without Danny and she booked herself into a solo rural cabin retreat to recover from burnout.

In a candid post on social media, the 38-year-old revealed that solo parenting whilst Danny jetted out to Australia in November to compete in the reality show had finally taken its toll on her.

'Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!' she wrote.

As she headed into the New Year, Georgia vowed to 'do something for me' and booked a wholesome retreat with the cabin company, Unyoked.
