If you're getting married soon, we have good news for you as Sinead Keary The Label is dropping two new collections for brides-to-be.
The Cork designer spoke to EVOKE at the launch of her Something Blue collection, which lands mid-March, and she also teased a six piece wedding collection for the day before or day after for brides coming in April.
The new Something Blue range is a capsule collection in powder blue inspired by the 1950s, with lots of soft romantic shapes and details with pearls, bows, and lace - and a Jackie Kennedy-style shift dress.
Sinead said they created the Something Blue collection as many brides are choosing to wear blue the night before the wedding for the good-luck tradition of 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'.
Speaking to EVOKE, she said: 'It's a romantic kind of [style], everything that the Sinead Keary The Label is all about. It's a romantic, nostalgic collection, I kind of took inspiration this season from 1950s Jackie Kennedy style with the shift dress, but making sure that waist is still really nicely shaped to flatter.
'Extra lining, lots of structure, great for anyone and really flattering for ladies who are conscious of areas around the tummy or anything like that.'
Sinead said that while it may be popular with brides, the Chloe shift dress is a gorgeous mini dress choice for wedding guests too, saying: 'Where I feel people will wear it is weddings if you don't want to go for something longer.
'Or maybe for that something blue the night before your wedding. We're seeing brides do that a lot at the moment, pulling that something blue into their wedding wardrobe.'
She said the pieces are designed to be mixed and matched together and styled in multiple ways, saying:
The Something Blue collection includes the Jenny Wrap Blouse, the Orla skirt which is newly updated with a lace finish, and the Aurora jacket and new shorts.
But for brides, there will be six more pieces dropping in the new bridal collection in April. There will be a version of the Chloe blazer in a cropped length with beautiful feather cuffs that are detachable. There will also be tailored shorts and a flattering cigarette trouser.
Sinead said: 'With our bridal collection, a lot of it will be spotlighting our best sellers. We are a go-to brand for brides and it hasn't necessarily been intentional. It comes from my love of champagne and cream and we do it all year long because I love that neutral head-to-toe look.
'But what really works well for brides, after dressing a lot of brides in my career, I find brides will go out and buy a full wardrobe, and never to be able to wear those white pieces again, whereas champagne gets that look but you can wear it again.'
The Something Blue collection will be launching later in March, two days after the St Patrick's Day weekend, and the new bridal collection is coming out at the end of April.
