It looks like former Dublin player Brian Fenton is enjoying every minute of his retirement from intercounty football as he ventured out at the weekend.
Brian, along with his fiancée Katie, wrapped up in their warmest gear, threw on their hiking boots and headed out for some quality time.
However, his former teammates did not have such a fun-packed weekend as they took on All-Ireland winners Armagh, beating the boys in blue 1-20 to 1-12.
Making his debut in 2015, Brian was a part of a team that helped set a GAA record with six consecutive senior football titles, beating Kerry's four in a row, and last year he decided to call it a day.
Playing county football takes up a huge amount of time, but now that he has stepped away, the 'world is his oyster,' and the Dublin man is taking full advantage of this.
Posing for a picture, Katie and Brian stood on top of the Dublin mountains, capturing the beautiful scenery behind them. While many friends left messages in the comments section, there were one or two who pleaded for the former midfielder to return.
Popping into the Blue Light Pub in Sandyford for a pint of the black stuff, Katie jumped in for a shot.
However, looking closely, it looks like there is a small reference to the beloved game in the background - Can you see the Croke Park sign?
Meeting in work over a Zoom meeting, Brian popped the question at Christmas in 2023.
Since then, the couple have been enjoying life, heading off on holiday,s but now that Brian has hung up his boots, there will be plenty of time for wedding planning. We can't wait for the big day.
