Meghan Markle's Netflix show finally drops after release date was pushed

Meghan Markle is back with a bang of (very expensive) pots and pans as she returns to our TV screens with her new Netflix show With Love, Meghan.

The eight-part series had been set to drop in January but its release was pushed amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

Here's everything we know about the show including details of the deluxe mansion it was filmed in, the hefty price tag attached to Meghan's utensils and the star-studded line-up:

What's it about?

The official logline for With Love, Meghan reads: 'This inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old.'

'Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.'

The trailer for With Love, Meghan is set to the tune of The Lovin' Spoonful's Do You Believe in Magic. Viewers catch glimpses of Meghan engaging in some relatable activities from cooking to shopping. Stars, they're just like us!

In a voiceover the Duchess of Sussex talks about how she likes to make everyday moments extraordinary, saying: 'I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.'

The series invites viewers into Meghan’s world as she takes on the kitchen, garden, and even a beehive while sharing her favorite tips for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more.

Where was it filmed?

While many would believe With Love, Meghan was filmed in the €13.2million Montecito mansion she resides in with her husband Prince Harry and their kids Archie and Lilibet, that's actually not the case.

Per MailOnline, the Duchess of Sussex chose a sprawling €4.8million estate just two miles from their home for the project.

The mansion, owned by Montecito's influential Cipolla family, is nestled within a gated community and boasts eight acres of avocado trees and lemon groves, making it the perfect place for Meghan to play the role of being 'at one with nature'.

The Cipolla family's 4,500 sq ft home is a four-bed, four-bath and boasts beautiful French doors that open to a patio, lawn, and scenic mountain views.

The filming budget must've been quite sizeable as it's believed Meghan's using more than a few spenny items in the series from a €18k cooker to pans that are over €700!

Special guests

The show will feature special appearances by notable personalities including Mindy Kaling, who also appeared on Meghan's podcast Archetypes, promising a mix of inspiration and star power.

The eight-episode series will also feature her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, Roy Choi, Alice Waters and additional acclaimed chefs and 'special friends', per Netflix.

Meghan's hubby Prince Harry will be making an appearance also, we wonder will little Archie and Lilibet?

'Make or break'

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are tied into a $100million deal with Netflix, with With Love, Meghan being their fifth collaborative project.

Per the Irish Daily Mail, given their last series Polo was an apparent flop their lucrative deal now hangs in the balance with Meghan's upcoming cookery show being their 'last chance' to turn things around.

A source told the publication: 'It's make or break. People say Netflix are exhausted. It's so much work with her and, bluntly, the "deliverable" does not seem to be worth it.'

Release date

With Love, Meghan was due to drop on Netflix on January 15 but ended up being released on the streaming site on March 4.

'I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,' Meghan said to Netflix.
