MOSCOW, Feb 14 (Reuters) - The Kremlin on Friday hailed the return of Alexander Vinnik, a Russian national convicted of cybercrime and released by U.S. authorities as part of a prisoner swap, saying Vinnik had been serving an unfair prison sentence.
Vinnik, who pleaded guilty in May 2024 to charges of conspiracy to launder money, arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo airport on Thursday night and thanked President Vladimir Putin and others for arranging his exchange.
