- Russia's crude oil production declined by 460,000 barrels per day in April from the same month a year ago to more than 8.8 million barrels per day, the International Energy Agency said on Wednesday, as Ukraine ramped up drone attacks on energy targets.

Since March, Ukraine unleashed waves of drone attacks on Russia's biggest Western oil ports, triggering vast blazes, while also attacking refineries in an effort to drain Russia's war economy.

The IEA also said Russia's oil product exports declined in April by 340,000 bpd from March to 2.2 million bpd, the lowest level in the Paris-based agency's records.

It said that Russia's crude exports increased last month by 250,000 bpd to 4.9 million bpd last month from March.

"Russian total exports recovered in the second half of April, but never returned to the three-week average preceding the attacks on Baltic ports – covering the period between the start of the Middle East conflict and the Baltic disruptions – that peaked at 7.7 million bpd," it said.
