May 11 (Reuters) - Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company on Monday filed for an initial public offering in the United States.
A pickup in IPO activity has lifted market sentiment, but the recovery remains fragile as geopolitical uncertainty and volatile trading continue to keep investor risk appetite in check.
The company is developing the permitted Sunshine complex in Idaho, aiming to restart silver production by 2028 to produce antimony, as well as copper and lead by-products.
Sunshine Silver will list on the NYSE under the symbol "SSMR."
Morgan Stanley, Scotiabank and BMO Capital Markets are the joint lead book-running managers for the offering.
