COPENHAGEN, May 8 (Reuters) - Sweden will put on hold plans for a new power cable to Denmark, Energy Minister Ebba Busch said on Friday, citing disagreements with the European Commission over the use of the Nordic country's revenues from electricity congestion charges.
Sweden earlier this year threatened to restrict electricity exports to neighbouring countries if disagreements with the European Commission over the use of national funds for EU energy projects are not resolved.
