HOUSTON, May 5 (Reuters) - A group led by TotalEnergies TTEF.PA could start the drilling phase of their offshore Block S4 in Guyana after 2028, depending on seismic evaluation, area exploration manager James Geary said on the sidelines of the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston on Tuesday.
TotalEnergies TTEF.PA, QatarEnergy and Petronas signed a five-year production sharing agreement with Guyana's government to explore the shallow-water block in November. The French energy company expects to decide soon about the wells the plan could include.
Block S4 is located 50-100 km (30-60 miles) off Guyana's coast.
