CBOT Trends-Wheat down 6-7 cents, corn down 2-3 cents, soy down 3-5 cents
CHICAGO, May 5 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Tuesday:
WHEAT - Down 6 to 7 cents per bushel
Wheat futures turned lower in early moves, lead by declines in K.C. hard red winter wheat futures on signs of scattered rains in drought-hit areas of the southern Plains and weakness in crude oil.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday rated 31% of the nation's winter wheat crop in good to excellent condition, up from 30% a week earlier, while analysts surveyed by Reuters on average had expected no change.
The USDA said the U.S. spring wheat crop was 32% planted, lagging the five-year average of 35%. US/WHE
The CBOT reported no deliveries against CBOT May WK26 wheat futures and 39 deliveries against K.C. May KWK26 hard red winter wheat futures. WHE/D
CBOT July soft red winter wheat WN26 was last down 6-1/2 cents at $6.34-1/2 per bushel. K.C. July hard red winter wheat KWN26 was last down 10-1/4 cents at $6.84-1/4 a bushel, and Minneapolis July spring wheat MWEN26 was last down 6-1/4 cents at $6.92-3/4 a bushel.
CORN - Down 2 to 3 cents per bushel
Corn futures retreated after the benchmark CBOT July contract CN26 reached $4.87-1/2 per bushel in early moves, matching its highest level since March 9. Declines in crude oil CLc1 add pressure.
Farmer corn sales picked up on Monday, one broker said, as the new-crop December contract CZ26 closed above $5 a bushel for the first time since late 2023.
The USDA said the U.S. corn crop was 38% seeded as of Sunday, ahead of the five-year average of 34%.

CBOT July corn CN26 was last down 3-1/4 cents at $4.82-1/2 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
Soybean futures declined on profit-taking and technical selling a day after the most-active July contract SN26 touched a seven-week high. Softening crude oil CLc1 futures add to bearish sentiment. O/R
The USDA said the U.S. soybean crop was 33% planted as of Sunday, well ahead of the five-year average of 23%.
StoneX on Monday raised its estimate of Brazil's 2025/26 soybean harvest to 181.6 million metric tons, up from its April forecast of 179.66 million tons.
The CBOT reported 110 deliveries against CBOT May SK26 soybean futures, with the Bunge house account receiving 57 lots. SOY/DEL
The exchange reported no deliveries against May soyoil BOK26 futures or May soymeal futures. SBO/DEL MEAL/DEL
CBOT July soybeans SN26 were last down 4-3/4 cents at $12.18 per bushel.
