France convenes G7 meeting on critical materials on Thursday, finance minister says

PARIS, May 5 (Reuters) - French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said on Tuesday that he would convene the relevant ministers of the G7 countries this week for an online meeting to discuss critical materials ahead of the Evian summit scheduled for mid-June.
"The president (Emmanuel Macron) wanted this subject to be addressed within the framework of the G7," Lescure told reporters in Lacq, a town in southwestern France.
The meeting is slated for Thursday.
