BP restores operations at Whiting refinery after brief outage on Sunday

May 1 (Reuters) - BP BP.L said on Friday that power was swiftly restored and operations normalized at its 440,000-barrel-per-day Whiting, Indiana, oil refinery, after a brief electrical outage and flaring occurred on Sunday.

BP said the interruption was related to an electrical system issue and was not the result of operator actions.
