Emirates Global Aluminium says production recovery could take up to 12 months after attack

April 3 (Reuters) - Emirates Global Aluminium said a full restoration of primary aluminium production at the smelter in its Al Taweelah production base in the UAE could take up to 12 months after it was hit by an Iranian attack late last month.

"The site, including the smelter and Casthouse, power plant, Al Taweelah alumina refinery, and Al Taweelah recycling plant, was fully evacuated and the facilities entered emergency shutdown," EGA said in a statement on Friday.
