NEW YORK, April 1 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President Alberto Musalem said Wednesday that even if the Middle East war ended quickly, there will be a time of uncertainty when it comes to how the economic aftermath plays out.
“Because even if the war were to end, it's going to take time to bring a lot of the damaged capacity back, back on stream,” Musalem said at an event at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington. Some of what’s been damaged or taken offline “may not be able to be restarted and so…there'll be an echo to this and I'll be looking for that.”
