RIO DE JANEIRO/SAO PAULO, April 1 (Reuters) - Brazilian state-run oil firm Petrobras PETR3.SA hiked jet fuel prices by about 55% on Wednesday, data on the company's website showed, in a move tracking higher global oil prices linked to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
Petrobras, the largest oil producer and responsible for most refining activity in Brazil, adjusts jet fuel prices at the beginning of each month based on factors such as international oil prices and foreign exchange rates.
Abra Group, the holding company that controls Brazilian airline Gol GOLL54.SA, had revealed on Tuesday that Petrobras was set to raise jet fuel prices by roughly 55%.
