TORONTO, March 31 (Reuters) - Vale Base Metals CEO Shaun Usmar said the company does not see any impact on its nickel business due to the ongoing sulphur disruption due to the war in the Middle East.
Sulphar is one of the key chemicals used to process nickel.
Usmar said since the miner generates its own sulphur production from Canada, the upside on the cost curve could potentially be beneficial to the company. Vale is one of the largest producers of nickel in the world.
