Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins fall

LONDON, March 26 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins fell on Thursday by $2.24 to $9.92 despite a fall in stockpiles in a thin trading session.

• No barges of either the winter grade Eurobob E10 or the winter E5 gasoline grade traded on Thursday.

• Total gasoline stocks held independently in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub fell by 6.4% on the week, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed. ARA/

• Gasoline prices at the pump across the EU's 27 member states hit their highest level since July 2022, data from the European Commission showed.

• In the wake of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, countries have moved to curb fuel costs, with Norway's parliament passing a bill to temporarily cut petrol and diesel taxes, Poland slashing fuel taxes and potentially pursuing a windfall tax on energy companies, while German lawmakers approved limiting price hikes at petrol stations to one hike a day.

• Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras said it has decided to increase the supply of diesel and gasoline to its customers in April, as local fuel distributors warn of supply risks.

• Russia's Kirishinefteorgsintez oil refinery, one of the largest in the country, halted crude processing following Ukrainian drone attacks that caused fires in some parts of the plant, two industry sources said. It produced 2 million tons of gasoline in 2024, per the sources.

• At least 40% of Russia's oil export capacity is at a halt following Ukrainian drone attacks, a disputed attack on a major pipeline and the seizure of tankers, according to Reuters calculations based on market data.
