MOSCOW, March 26 (Reuters) - Russia's vast Kirishinefteorgsintez oil refinery, one of country's largest, halted processing on Thursday following Ukrainian drone attacks which set some plant's units ablaze, two industry sources said.
They said some primary and secondary units caught fire after several waves of drone attacks. One of the sources said it's hard to estimate the timing for repairs of the damaged units.
Surgutgeftegaz, which controls the refinery, did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
The refinery's capacity stands at 20 million metric tons, or around 400,000 barrels per day. It has processed around 18 million tons annually in the recent years, accounting for around 7% of total Russia's oil refining volumes.
It produces annually 7 million tons of diesel, 2 million tons of gasoline, 6 million tons of fuel oil and around 600,000 tons of bitumen, according to the industry sources' data.
