March 23 (Reuters) - California Attorney General Rob Bonta on Monday said he has sued the U.S. Department of Energy over its decision to restart the long-disputed Sable Offshore SOC.N pipeline system linking the Santa Ynez offshore platform to California refineries.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright restarted the pipeline earlier this month using powers granted to him under an executive order from President Donald Trump invoking the Cold War-era Defense Production Act to supersede state laws.
