PARIS, March 19 (Reuters) - French shipping group CMA CGM will impose an inland emergency fuel surcharge from March 23 in a defined geographic scope, in response to rising fuel costs, it said on Thursday.
CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container shipping line, did not specify the geographical zone covered by the inland surcharge. The group has already announced fuel surcharges for sea transport due to a jump in fuel prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
