CBOT corn lower on spillover weakness from wheat

ReutersMar 2, 2026 7:57 PM

- Chicago Board of Trade corn futures finished lower on Monday on spillover weakness from falling wheat futures, traders said.

  • May corn CK26 closed 2-3/4 cents lower to $4.45-3/4 per bushel.

  • Consultancy Safras & Mercado trimmed its estimate for Brazil's 2025/26 corn output.

  • Corn has also been under pressure from farmer selling, analysts said.

  • Earlier in the session, short covering and gains in energy prices helped support corn futures amid concerns over the Iran conflict.
