Germany closely monitoring situation in Iran, Israel, wider region

BERLIN, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Germany is closely monitoring the situation in Iran, Israel and the wider region, the foreign ministry said on Saturday after Israel and the U.S. launched strikes against Iran, adding that the national crisis management team would meet at 12 p.m. local time (1100 GMT).
The ministry said it was in close and constant contact with embassies in the region and it urged German nationals to follow instructions from local authorities regarding protection.
