CHICAGO, Feb 25 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Wednesday:
WHEAT - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
CBOT wheat fell as forecasts showed more favorable weather conditions in multiple growing regions.
An active rain pattern by late next week should provide some relief to U.S. Plains and Midwest wheat, according to Commodity Weather Group. Meanwhile warmer weather is expected to activate growth.
Drier conditions in flooded parts of western France and a thawing of winter frosts in eastern Europe were also tempering weather concerns, according to analysts.
May soft red winter wheat WK26 was last down 4-1/4 cents at $5.69 per bushel. K.C. May hard red winter wheat KWK26 was last down 4-1/2 cents at $5.62-1/2 per bushel and Minneapolis May spring wheat MWEK26 fell 1-1/4 cents to $5.94-1/4 per bushel
CORN - Steady to down 1 cent per bushel
CBOT corn futures Cv1 stayed near flat as the market reopened after a week-long Lunar New Year break in China.
Taiwan's MFIG purchasing group bought about 65,000 metric tons of animal feed corn expected to be sourced from the United States in an international tender on Wednesday, European traders said.
Brazil's corn exports are seen reaching 1.13 million metric tons in February, according to grain exporters association ANEC.
CBOT May corn CK26 traded flat at $4.38-1/2 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Steady to up 2 cents per bushel
A U.S. Supreme Court ruling last week struck down President Donald Trump's global reciprocal tariffs and the administration introduced a new 10% general tariff which initially cooled expectations of more Chinese buying.
However, Beijing's comments and the end of the Lunar New Year break in China maintained some demand hopes.
China is closely monitoring U.S. policies and is willing to hold consultations during the upcoming sixth round of economic and trade talks between the two countries, a commerce ministry official said on Tuesday.
CBOT May soybeans SK26 were up 1 cent at $11.56-1/4 per bushel.
