- The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Tuesday:

WHEAT - Steady to up 2 cents per bushel

  • CBOT wheat ticked up slightly as short-covering in wheat fuelled by the threat of U.S. military strikes against Iran appeared to have paused, according to analysts.

  • Limited shipments and a strong rouble supported Russian wheat export prices last week, which approached those of Black Sea competitors, analysts said.

  • Record low temperatures across most of Ukraine in February led to deep soil freezing, which could delay the start of the grain sowing campaign, the head of the agricultural department of the state meteorological center was quoted as saying late on Monday.

  • May soft red winter wheat WK26 was last up 1-1/4 cents at $5.75 per bushel. K.C. May hard red winter wheat KWK26 was last down 3-1/2 cents at $5.68-3/4 per bushel and Minneapolis May spring wheat MWEK26 fell 1-1/2 cents to $5.95-3/4 per bushel

CORN - Up 1 to down 1 cent per bushel

  • CBOT corn futures Cv1 traded near flat as the market reopened after a week-long Lunar New Year break, but uncertainty surrounded U.S. exports following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down President Donald Trump's import tariff policy.

  • South Korea's Major Feedmill Group bought about 65,000 metric tons of animal feed corn in private deal on Friday expected to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Monday.

  • The planting of Brazil's second corn crop has reached 50% of the estimated area, compared with 64% a year earlier, AgRural said.

  • CBOT May corn CK26 was last down 3/4 cent at $4.39-1/2 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Down 1 to 3 cents per bushel

  • Chicago soybeans slid on Tuesday, losing more ground on uncertainty around U.S. exports following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Trump administration's import tariffs. GRA/

  • On Friday, Trump imposed a 10% temporary tariff after the Supreme Court struck down his previous tariff program. He also ordered the start of new investigations under other statutes that officials said could result in additional tariffs affecting many trading partners.

  • Brazilian farmers had harvested 30% of their 2025/26 soybean crop as of last Thursday, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said on Monday, up 9 percentage points from the previous week but below the 39% reported a year earlier.

  • CBOT May soybeans SK26 were down 2-3/4 cents at $11.47 per bushel.
