US Cash Products-Gulf Coast gasoline gains ahead of Colonial cycle change

NEW YORK, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Cash differentials for gasoline gained in the U.S. Gulf Coast on Friday ahead of the start of trading for fuel deliveries on the seventh annual pumping cycle of the Colonial Pipeline to New York Harbor, traders said.

U.S. Gulf Coast M4 conventional gasoline RU-DIFF-USG gained 3.5 cents to 2 cents above the gasoline futures benchmark RBc1 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while A4 CBOB gasoline CBOB-DIFF-USG gained three quarters of a cent to 9 cents below futures, traders said.

Gulf Coast 62-grade ultra-low sulfur diesel ULSD-DIFF-USG fell 0.60 cent to 9.6 cents below the ULSD futures benchmark HOc1, traders said.

Chicago CBOB gasoline CBOB-DIFF-MC gained half a cent to 17.5 cents below futures, while Chicago ULSD ULSD-DIFF-MC was unchanged at 32.5 cents below diesel futures, market participants said.

Elsewhere in the Midwest, Group 3 V-grade gasoline RUV-DIFF-G3 gained a quarter of a cent to 14.75 cents below futures, traders said.

Group 3 diesel ULSD-DIFF-G3 fell 1.5 cents to 19.5 cents below futures, traders said.

Gasoline futures rose 0.14 cents to settle at $1.7852 a gallon, whereas ULSD futures rose 2.93 cents to close at $2.2376.

Renewable fuel (D6) credits RIN-D6-US for 2026 fell to around $1.17 each from $1.21 each in the previous session, traders said.

Biomass-based (D4) credits RIN-D4-US for 2026 fell to $1.24 each from around $1.28 each earlier, traders said.
