PARIS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - France is deeply attached to the independence of central banks, French Finance Minister Roland Lescure told Fed Chair Jerome Powell and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, he said on Tuesday.
"I told Secretary Bessent, and I obviously told Jerome Powell, that we are not here to interfere in U.S. legal proceedings, but we are extremely committed to the independence of central banks in general," Lescure said.
