Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins rise

ReutersJan 12, 2026 5:43 PM

- Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins rose by $1.05 on Monday to $9.95 a barrel.

  • About 14,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 gasoline traded on barges in the Argus window as Gunvor, Exxon Mobil and Trafigura sold to BP and Aramco.

  • No Eurobob E10 gasoline barges traded on the day.

  • Indonesia's energy minister Bahlil Lahadalia said the $7.4 billion upgrade of Pertamina's Balikpapan refinery would allow it to produce 5.8 million kilolitres of gasoline per year, which would help reduce Indonesia's total gasoline imports to 19 million kilolitres, from the previous rate of around 24 million kilolitres.

  • Meanwhile, EU-27 and UK gasoline exports to other regions have averaged 405,000 barrels per day in January so far, compared to 809,000 bpd across the full month of December.
