US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis bids flat

CHICAGO, Dec 26 (Reuters) - U.S. corn and soybean basis bids held steady at grain elevators, ethanol plants, river and rail terminals and other kinds of processors in a spot check of facilities in the U.S. Midwest on Friday as futures ticked down.

Futures have been thinly traded following Thursday's Christmas holiday and ahead of the weekend.
Strong demand for U.S. corn offered the commodity some support on a day of choppy trade. COR/
CBOT March corn CH26 settled 1 cent lower at $4.50 per bushel. CBOT January soybeans SF26 settled 4-1/2 cents lower at $10.58-3/4 per bushel.
