WARSAW, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The delay in signing the Mercosur trade deal means the European Commission has time to work on better safeguards for farmers, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Friday.
"If it turns out that the majority will accept Mercosur, the Commission must use these weeks, the time we have gained, to provide further or better safeguards that are important from the point of view of our producers and our farmers," he told reporters in Brussels.
