MOSCOW, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that Lithuania's refusal to allow Russian and Belarusian fertiliser exports to transit its territory seriously complicates exports.
The U.S. last week eased sanctions on Belarusian potash, a component of fertilisers, in return for the release by President Alexander Lukashenko of 123 prisoners including prominent opposition figures and human rights campaigners.
Until 2022, the bulk of Belarus' potash exports were shipped via the Lithuania port of Klaipeda. Since then, it has had to re-route them via Russia.
