US Cash Grains-Corn bids higher, soy lower as movement increases

CHICAGO, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were higher and soy bids were lower in the U.S. Midwest on Monday as farmer movement ticked up following winter storms that had slowed trade in the previous week.

• Corn futures ticked higher on U.S. Department of Agriculture projections on Friday that American farmers will plant less of the grain next year and shift toward soybeans.

• Soybeans fell amid uncertainty over whether China will buy as much U.S. supply as Washington expects and as traders awaited direction from U.S. grain forecasts and the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision.

• Chicago Board of Trade March corn futures CH26 were last 1 cent lower at $4.44 a bushel and January soybeans SF26 were down 9 cents at $11.07 a bushel. GRA/
