SAO PAULO, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Sugar production in Brazil's key center-south region is set to total 41.5 million metric tons in 2026/27, consultancy StoneX said on Wednesday, down from a previous estimate of 42.1 million tons released in September.
• The new estimate still points to a 3.3% increase from the previous season, StoneX added.
• Sugarcane crushing in the region should hit 620.5 million tons in 2026/27, it said, keeping its forecast unchanged.
• Ethanol output, including fuel based both on sugarcane and corn, was estimated to rise 9.3% year-over-year in 2026/27 to 36.1 billion liters.
